Nov 20, 2013 Export from Kindle notes and create a notecard that includes the location numbers. You can either publish the notecard in Evernote to the web, or you can share the notecard (if they have it on their PC’s) Make sure they have a copy of the book on their PC and the Kindle App. Note: Repeat these steps for more than one Kindle e-book. Step 3: With all e-books selected, click the yellow Start Upload button(s) shown above and wait. Step 4: The e-book is converted to a PDF.
When you highlight or note a Kindle-purchased book on any Kindle device app, those annotations are automatically synced with Amazon's cloud. These are then visible at read.amazon.com, but there is no reason to believe that Amazon will continue to provide this service forever, and our ability to work with text in that hosted browser-based environment is limited.
We wanted a way cleanly to download our highlights onto our local computers, so we created a bookmarklet that permits one to easily extract highlights from the book's read.amazon.com page.
Bookcision is a Javascript bookmarklet, meaning it should run successfully in any modern browser on either the PC or Mac.
The bookmarklet yields a single page of cleanly styled highlights, which can then be copied to one's clipboard and pasted into a local text repository (OneNote, Evernote, DevonThink, etc.)
Chrome users will additionally be offered the ability to download the highlights in plain text, JSON, or XML formats.

Instructions
- Drag the above button to your browser's bookmarks bar.
- Log in at read.amazon.com.
- Click on a book title.
- When the book's page has loaded, click on the 'Bookcision' link in your browser's bookmarks bar.
- An overlay will load with just your highlights. If you are running Chrome, you'll see an option to download your highlights in various formats. Otherwise, just copy and paste the contents of your cleaned-up highlights to wherever you would like.

When Amazon announced the release of the new Kindle for 2016 a couple weeks ago, one of the new features they mentioned in the press release that didn’t get much attention is the ability to export notes to email.
In fact the export notes option is already enabled on Kindle ereaders. I don’t remember it being part of the last 5.8.1 update; perhaps they are rolling it out with the new Page Flip feature because that’s when I first noticed it showing up.
There are already a number of ways to export Kindle notes and highlights, but this new email option is a lot more convenient because it can be done directly from the Kindle itself.
The way it works is you get an email with a PDF copy of your notes and highlights, plus a CSV file so you can edit and reformat the notes if you want to.
To send the notes email, just open a book on your Kindle and hit the settings menu button to access the Notes list. From there you can hit the export notes button at the bottom.

This is a handy feature to have if you like reviewing the notes and highlights you’ve added to your Kindle books. It’s a definite step up from the previous method of having to deal with the Kindle’s awkwardly-formatted My Clippings file.
