For Adobe Acrobat DC 2015 and Adobe Reader 2015, that life span has come to an end. First introduced in April 2015, the two applications saw the end of support on July 7, 2020. While Adobe Acrobat DC 2015 and Adobe Reader 2015 still run, Adobe no longer provides technical support, product updates, or security updates. The versions of the apps below work in Big Sur but have these known issues. We are still testing and optimizing our other apps to make them fully compatible with Big Sur. We recommend that you run your Adobe apps only in operating systems and hardware platforms as noted in the system requirements for your apps. Running Windows10 v.1909 (OS Build 18363.778) A couple of weeks ago my PDF files began to automatically close a few seconds after opening. I restarted my PC, and it seemed to fix the problem. I am using Adobe Reader XI v11.0.23. The other important thing to note is that Office 2016 for Mac only works with OS X 10.10 Yosemite or higher – it does not work with OS X 10.9 Mavericks or lower so make sure you are definitely running OS X 10.10 Yosemite, OS X 10.11 El Capitan, macOS Sierra 10.12 or macOS 10.13 High Sierra before proceeding.

Note:

If you're running Mac OS X 10.9 or later, install the latest version of Reader. For step-by-step instructions, see Install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on Mac OS.

Select your operating system, a language, and the version of Reader that you want to install. Then click Download now.

When asked whether to open or save the .dmg file, select Save File, and then click OK.

Important: If you do not see this dialog box, another window could be blocking it. Try moving any other windows out of the way.

Double-click the .dmg file. If you don't see the Downloads window, choose Tools > Downloads.

If the download package doesn't appear in the Downloads window and a Thank You screen remains visible, click the download link on the Thank You screen.

Double-click the Adobe Reader [version] Installer.pkg to start the installation.

If a dialog box appears telling you to quit Reader, close Reader, and then click OK.

When the Install Adobe Reader dialog box appears, click Continue. Follow the onscreen instructions to install Reader.

If you're running Mac OS X 10.9 or later, install the latest version of Reader. For step-by-step instructions, see Install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on Mac OS.

Select your operating system, a language, and the version of Reader that you want to install. Then click Download now.

I have Adobe X running on all my machines. But this morning a lot of user are experiencing the problem I have. It keeps crashing and then i have to open it again. I have re-installed it but still. I open a document if I select print it crashes.
All the machines are Windows 7 Pro.

Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:Program Files (x86)AdobeReader 11.0Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

I have a MacBook Pro running Lion 10.7.5 & Adobe Reader XI
95% of the time when I run Adobe reader it crashes. Every now and again i works fine.
I've tried this with all external devices disconnected. I've also re-fitted the origina 4GB that came with the machine & of course restarted the machine several times. So far as I can tell have no other issues with thr laptop or any of the applications installed
Has anyone else got this problem or can help me with it?

There are a lot of spammers who send fake update notifications to get you to install malware along with Adobe Reader (or instead). Perhaps, just perhaps, you got one of those.
If the notification was in email it was certainly a scam.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the same thing happens; open a pdf doc it appears but then a dialog box comes up 'This program has stopped working' only option is to close the program.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
Any clue on how it can be fixed?
Could it possibly be that I downloaded it using Google Chrome?

I've recently downloaded Adobe 8.1.2 having previously happily used version 7.0.9. I am experiencing some problems though! If I attempt to open a .pdf file from either an existing folder or to download a new file, then the file appears (apparently?) normally, but 12 seconds later the file is lost and Safari shuts down or the file requested from one of my folders closes.
I've tried deleting the previous version (7.0.9), but this has not altered the problem; worst of all, I no longer have any Adobe software to view my .pdf files!

I have actually had this issue for months, across the last 2-3 minor releases of Reader 8. On my PowerBook G4, the app crashes after about 12 seconds, regardless of context or current activity. Launching it by itself results in the same crash, after the same amount of time.
Clearly there's some background process that's causing this. Problem is, I don't see any reports to any CrashReporter or other system logs.
@ali brown, you don't need to confirm whether the user downloaded the correct installer for the platform -- the Intel-only installer won't run on a PowerPC machine. I suspect the reverse is true as well.

I've validated all my fonts in Font Book with no warnings or errors. I've also uninstalled Reader, deleted all Reader-related caches and preferences, and re-installed, with the exact same results.

Can you check, whether patch KB2624667 is installed on your machine or not ? If “yes”, then uninstall that patch. Uninstall Reader. Restart your server and install Reader again using the steps mentioned in Enterprise Guide.
Make sure to update the Reader version to latest version available.

What is your Acrobat XI version? If less than 11.0.09 I suggest you update to that latest version.

using Win 7, Firefox 19.0, Flash 11.6.602.168
Tried the DRM fix,
Tried uninstalling Firefox and Flash, restarting Win 7, reinstalling Firefox and Flash
Tried reinstalling display and my NVidia drivers.
Still getting 'Sorry we were unable to stream this video' message.
Also having problems on Chrome.
Some troubleshooting threads suggest to go to chrome://plugins and disable the chrome flash player.
When i disable the chrome flash player and try to play an amazon instant video, I get the 'Sorry we were unable to stream this video' message.
When i disable the system flash player and try to play an amazon instant video, the video plays but 'stutters.' The audio is fine, but the video alternately pauses and plays for a second or two over and over again.
AIV works just fine on my iPad.

From System Preferences > Preference Pane click on FlashPlayer > Storage and see what you have selected for options.

I am currently using Adobe LiveCycle Designer Version 11 with SAP GUI version 730. The Adobe LiveCycle Software keeps crashing within a few minutes whenever I am working on the Layout.
I have tried deleting 'C:Users(UserName)AppDataRoamingAdobeDesigner' folder but it did not help.

Whenever I try to read a pdf using Adobe reader in a browser, it crashes and I get booted from the browser. If I try to read the pdf outside of the browser using Reader, the same plugin error window pops up and the Reader crashes.
I'm not entirely computer-savvy, so I don't know how to do a crash report, but if someone can tell me how, I will gladly provide one.
I saw on another forum to do something with the dll's, but I'm unsure of the procedure by which to do this.
The only way I've been able to read pdf's has been through 'google documents' when I receive them via email.
Could someone please help? I need to view/print documents for a legal battle regarding my child and I'm not able to do this currently.

First - what version of Adobe Reader do you have?
And now it gets a little bit complicated. Adobe Reader can be a plugin to Internet Explorer, and it crashes when you try to open an online PDF document. That is not unknown; it happens sometimes.
But when you open the standalone Adobe Reader, it also crashes with a plugin error. This time it must be a plugin to Adobe Reader, not Internet Explorer.
Furthermore you write 'the same plugin error window pops up' - so I can only assume that it is a Reader plugin that crashes, not the IE plugin.
What I would try in your situation:
open Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs, and uninstall Adobe Reader;
open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:Program FilesAdobeReader 9.0Reader and delete all plugin... folders;
reinstall Adobe Reader from http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3.3/enu/AdbeRdr933_en_US.exe
The path in the second line above could also be ...Reader 8.0... depending on your Reader version.

Try to uninstall and reinstall Flash
